Orange & Black Give Back Day PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, May 09 2017 07:12

On Wednesday May 3rd students and staff from the Middle School participated in their give back day to the community. The students and staff went to 42 different sites around the community to help with projects. They spent the morning painting, weeding, planting, mulching, and cleaning at the various sites. We had a ton of support from the community to make the day possible. Whether it was donations of money, food, supplies or helping chaperone that day, we couldn’t have done it without you.

We would like to thank the following businesses and individuals for supporting the Middle School Orange & Black Give Back day:

Lincoln Lunch Change 5/5/17 PDF Print E-mail
Friday, May 05 2017 08:00

Lincoln School Families,

It was discovered this morning that we had a malfunction on a boiler pump, which filled the tank, causing water to to come out.  In addition to that, the sump pump line burst. This all occurred in the basement. We currently do not have hot water at Lincoln, and it appears we won't the remainder of the day.  Due to this, Lincoln lunch has changed.  We will be serving a Sunbutter sandwich, carrot sticks, a fresh fruit option, chips and a milk.  Please direct any questions to Teresa Beenblossom 653-3691.

IDEA Part B – Parent Survey PDF Print E-mail
Monday, May 01 2017 06:36

Dear Parent,

Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) requires states to report the percent of parents with a child receiving special education services who report that schools facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving services and results for children with IEPs.

The Iowa Department of Education is gathering these data as a census for both students with and without an IEP using a brief three-question survey.

Survey Information

Please use the link above to answer the following questions for each of your children. The survey will allow you to answer these questions for up to five children.

- How old was your child on January 1, 2017? (choose 3-21)

- Does your child have an Individualized Education Program – IEP? (y/n)

- Did the school your child is currently attending facilitate (request, encourage or initiate) your involvement as a means of improving services and results for your child? (y/n)

The survey will be open April 15st through June 30th.

Thank you very much for your time and attention to this matter.
