2018 WMS Washington D.C. Trip Fall Parent Meeting PDF Print E-mail

There will be a brief parent meeting for current 7th and 8th grade WMS students, who are interested in the June 2018 Washington DC Trip and are not currently registered, during Parent teacher conferences September 28th. Washington Middle School would like to thank the Washington County Riverboat Foundation for partially funding our GTT lab and MS Chromebook's this year. Both are great educational assets for our students and programs.

The fundraising committee at the Middle School has some fun things planned for the year:

Hat day: The first Friday of every month will be a hat day at the Middle School. Students and Staff can wear an appropriate hat to school for $1.00. The following date are hat days: Sept 1, Oct. 6, Nov. 3, Dec. 1, Jan. 5, Feb. 2, March 2, April 6 and May 4. Proceeds will go to WMS and local charities.

Trivia Night: The Middle School will be hosting a Trivia night on September 30th at Lebowski’s. All ages welcome.

Youth Trivia Night: An 18 years and younger, Trivia Night is tentatively set for October 26th.

Great America Fundraiser: This will take the place of our Magazine Sales. Students will have a booklet to sell products from (magazine subscriptions, jewelry, decorations, food, etc.) This fundraiser will take place from October 4-18th.

Monetary donation:

Any and all support on our fundraisers would be greatly appreciated. If you are not interested in participating in our fundraisers but would like to just donate to the school needs, cash or checks (made payable to WMS PIE) would be greatly appreciated.

WMS Meet the Teacher Night PDF Print E-mail

Washington Middle School will host their annual Student/Parent Orientation and “Meet the Teachers” Night on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Sixth grade students/ parents will receive their schedules and meet the teachers from 5:00 – 5:30 PM followed by an orientation meeting in the MS auditorium from 5:30 – 6:00 PM. Seventh and eighth grade students/parents will be able to pick up their schedules and meet teachers beginning at 6:00 PM and are invited to an orientation meeting in the auditorium from 6:30 – 7:00 PM. Parents and students are asked to enter through the east doors and are encouraged to bring supplies and place those in their lockers. Fall sports information will be available and completed forms can be turned in at this time. There will be a sign up table for parents who are interested in participating in the PIE (Parents Involved in Education) support group. Registration fees and lunch money can be paid in the office during this time. Questions can be directed to the middle school office by calling 653-5414.
