HS: Thank you Hy-Vee! Print

The Washington High School has now collected $150,000 in Hy-Vee receipts thanks to Stewart, Lincoln, Middle School and the High School students, staff, parents and community! The program we have in place with our local Hy-Vee is they donate $1000 to one of our schools for every $150,000 in cash register receipts that we collect and turn in. Stewart received the first $1000 check earlier this year. The high school was next in line and will use the money to purchase new books for the high school library. All of the receipts collected will now go to the Middle School, followed by Lincoln; and then the cycle will begin again! Joan Hippen, "When I spoke with Dale Sparks at Hy-Vee, he had told me it was Hy-Vee's hope to be able to issue at least two checks per year to the schools." This is an awesome program and we have had a great response! We will have a collection box at the softball and baseball concession stands over the summer for receipt collection; or you can just hold onto them and send them to the Middle School in the fall! Thank you for your support!
