HS: FFA Staff Appreciation Breakfast Print

Our Washington FFA members held a Staff Appreciation Breakfast last month for the Washington Community School Staff. FFA members cooked a wonderful breakfast complete with: pancakes & syrup, scrambled eggs, sausages, coffee, orange juice & milk. This event was held a little early to kick off the celebration of National FFA Week. The history of FFA Week began in 1947 when the National FFA Board of Directors designated the week of George Washington's birthday as National FFA Week in recognition of his legacy as an agriculturist and farmer. The first National FFA Week was held in 1948. Today, FFA Week always runs Saturday to Saturday and encompasses Feb. 22, Washington's birthday.
