MS: Student of the Month Print

The Washington Middle School (WMS) announces last month's STUDENTS OF THE MONTH recognizing positive contributions of students. Contributions range from assisting teachers/ peers in classroom activities; to displaying characteristics as a role model in/out of the class. The process to be named Student of the Month is: Each teacher may nominate one student (or multiple students if they feel they have more than one deserving student or teach more than one grade level). Every student nominated is awarded with a certificate that has the recommendation for receiving the award, a Pizza Ranch certificate & coupon for a free small pizza or buffet. They also receive a card for one of the following: a free pass to a Washington High School event, a WMS event, a daily homework coupon, a day membership at the "Y" or one free rental at Family Video. Mr. Mayer also awards each students with their choice of a paperback book. The goal is to see that every student receives this award at least once during the three years at the WMS.
