MS: Music Technology & Appreciation Classes Print

The Music Technology & Music Appreciation students were visited by a musical performing guest on January 11th. Tanner McClenahan, (son of Craig McClenahan- instructor of the two classes), stopped by the Middle School to preform for both classes before heading back to Coe College. Tanner answered questions about his musical background, performing/ songwriting, technical questions about recording/ guitars; but most of the time, he was taking requests from the students. One of the questions asked was if he'd ever thought about auditioning with American Idol, the Voice, or America's Got Talent. That influenced Tanner to travel to Chicago that very weekend and try-out for "The Voice". Although he wasn't selected to move on, he said it was a great experience. He said the students asking him that question gave him the push he needed to go ahead and do the tryout. Pictured here with Tanner is the 2nd Term Music Appreciation class: Kayla A, Hannah F, Gavin L, Collin M, Maddie N, AJ P, Tucker R, Matt R, Maddy R, Justin R, Mario T, and Odalis. thank you Tanner McClenahan for visiting our school!
