Lincoln: Clean Water Project Print

Recently, Pam Holz from the Washington County Conservation Education Center came to visit all of the 3rd grade classes at Lincoln Elementary. She led a hands on learning experience to reinforce the importance of clean water. Third grade has a science unit where they learn about water. Pam brought in a water simulation that showed different types of pollutants (using non-harmful replacements). This simulation gave an example on how pollutants can have a harmful effect on our drinking water. A discussion was held on ways to keep water clean and safe. It was a very educational experience for all! Pictured here are students from Brooke Vittetoe's classroom.
