Stewart School Election Print

In the 5 weeks leading up the election, 2nd grade students learned about election vocabulary, our government and the voting process. They gathered facts about the Republican and Democratic candidates; as well as the basic voting process. They presented the information to all the classrooms at Stewart Elementary School. They made posters and handed out bookmarks encouraging all students to be good citizens and VOTE! Then on Tuesday, November 6th they hosted a mock election for students and staff. Voter turnout was EXCELLENT! The results of the Stewart School election were Obama (251) and Romney (85).
