All area high school students and their parents are invited to learn more about their college options at the Washington High School College Fair in the Washington High School Gymnasium. The college fair will be from 1:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., hosted by the Iowa Association for College Admission Counseling (Iowa ACAC) and the Counseling Department at Washington High School.

Representatives from approximately 60 colleges, universities, and military branches will be on hand to visit with high school students and their parents. Families have an opportunity to discuss admission requirements, housing, financial aid, scholarships, internships and specific majors with the college representatives.

Students from 20 surrounding high schools have been invited to attend. Anyone who is interested in attending a post-secondary institution is invited to take advantage of this opportunity.

The program is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact the counselor’s office at (319) 653-4245.

Iowa ACAC is a non-profit organization and one of 23 state and regional affiliates of the National Asssociation for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). The College Day program incorporates approximately 30 college fairs scheduled throughout the state, providing thousands of students and parents access to over 130 public and private colleges, technical schools, military representatives, and not-for-profit college planning programs. Along with in-state educational organizations, over 60 colleges from around the country choose to meet Iowa students through the Iowa ACAC college fair program.
