The Washington County Riverboat Foundation awarded the Washington Community School District a $20,000 grant for new band uniforms at Washington High School during the fall of 2007. The new marching band uniforms help our students to positively represent our school and community in local and state performances. The Washington High School marching band performs at many competitions throughout the state of Iowa. The WHS marching band has performed at Fort Madison, Mount Pleasant, Davis County, Waukee as well as the annual state marching band contest. Locally, the WHS marching band performs at football games and band concerts.
