WCSD LogoOn Wednesday June 23, 2021 we contacted A&E and requested they pick up any milk that was
delivered and replace it with fresh milk due to complaints from parents. A&E removed the milk
and sent a sample to their quality control department. Fresh milk was delivered this morning,
Monday, June 28, 2021. Due to additional complaints, A&E has been contacted again. We have
requested they remove the second batch of milk and deliver a new batch for Wednesday. A&E
stated we are not the only district that is having this issue. A&E has stressed there is no health
risk and the milk is not contaminated. We apologize for the inconvenience and an official
statement from A&E is posted below:

Dear Customers:

We’ve noticed a thicker than normal texture in a batch of our Chocolate Fat Free Milk which you received recently. This issue began to occur closer to the sell-by-date. While we did not vary from our recipe, and our lab samples show this is not a safety concern, the chocolate milk does not meet our quality standards. After a thorough investigation, we found this batch of milk was exposed to a small and brief temperature fluctuation within our operations.  We sincerely apologize for this concerning experience and we are in the process of replacing all of the affected chocolate milk.
