Washington Middle School PTO is hosting an alumni event in March. This is the last year we will be in the 1918 building (old HS) and we want to give players one last chance to play in that gym. We would like to invite former guys & girls track, girls volleyball and guys & girls basketball players back along with Coaches who have or are currently coaching those sports. Registration. Registration is due by March 1st to ensure participants get a free t-shirt. Alumni can still register until March 14th but may not receive a t-shirt.
During the Steve Roth Relays on Thursday March 27 there will be 2 different alumni track events-at 5:00 is the 600 m run & 5:30 is the 8x50 (walk/run) relay. Spectators would need to pay admission for the event.
On Friday March 28 is Girls Volleyball at the MS (old HS)- 6:00 is game time. The concession stand will be open. We will start the silent auction on Friday night. Activities during the match will include a chuck-a-duck contest. Admission is free will donation
Basketball on March 29 at the MS (old HS) - 6:00 is a girls game, boys game is 8:00 or 15 minutes after the girls game is over. The concession stand will be open. Silent auction will end after the 1st quarter of the boys game,must be present to win the bid. Activities during the match will include a chuck-a-duck contest, 1/2 court/3 point contest. Admission is free will donation. We will also recognize some special teams from the past between quarters.
Boys teams include-1985-86 (State Champs/Conference Champs)
1994-95 (Conference Champs- Dave Tremmels last team, 30 year anniversary)
2005-06 (Last State Tournament Team)
2019-20 (Conference Champs- first under Coach Stark).
Girls teams include-1992-1993 (1st Conference Champions)
1999-2000 (State Champions-25th anniversary)
2012-13 (Last conference championship)
We invite everyone to attend these events whether you are an alumni of Washington or not. This will be a great event with some awesome players and coaches from the past. More information is on Facebook under Washington Alumni Event
